This is a really cute cafe/restaurant in Fremont; a bigger, more chic upgrade to the original Devout Coffee in the Niles district. One thing to note: Apple Maps still takes you to the original Devout Coffee if you use the search function, so make sure you type in the address or use Google Maps. We had a really friendly, personable barista. He self-described himself as having "golden retriever energy." Helped us navigate the menu and checked in on us after we had finished our drinks. The old fashioned latte was delicious; had orange zest, a lot of tasty foam, and a rich, fresh espresso taste. Cons: Parking lot is VERY small; I also didn't see street parking as an option right next to the restaurant. It is in a pretty random spot in Fremont; not really a great place to stroll/walk around before of after. Overall had a solid experience and am interested in trying the food!
food? * hot cappuccino with vanilla (4/5): solid. not very sweet, and good strong coffee. * ovaltine stuffed french toast (3.9/5): very good, but veryyyy sweet. doesn't really taste the ovaltine (which the barista explained to be like nutella), but it was crispy and well done. * breakfast egg sandwich (4.5/5): yummy and would get again. a bit greasy, but understandable with having sausage and bacon inside it. vibes? large space, but not a lot of individual seating. would recommend for larger groups after lunch/dinner. the workers were very nice and gave solid recommendations! high ceilings give a modern feel, but had personal flower and salt/pepper decor. come again? yes, if in the area!
Environment is so welcoming! Match isn't sweet with I like but added oat milk and honey for just a slight sweetness!
This is my fancy go-to when I want a little more food-wise than what my regular cafe offers. The smoked salmon toast comes with all the accoutrements of a fancy toast but most importantly, the crisp texture of the bread isn't compromised by the piles of toppings. I loooooooooooooove the pickled onions and have difficulty finding places that offer it with their salmon toast, but this place does it perfectly. There is always seating when I come on a random weekday, and I love the fact that they are anti work laptops because I hate overhearing soul-sucking zoom meetings while I'm just trying to sip on my latte and listen to some light jazz music. This place is for getting cozy, gossiping with friends before going antiquing on Niles.
I got a double espresso and almond milk macchiato. The espresso was very good. Slightly acidic, not bitter or burnt. The almond milk foam complimented the espresso well in the macchiato. Would definitely come back or try their other location.
I've come here a few times and most recently during Fremont Restaurant Week. Both the deep dish pizza and bone marrow smash burger were delicious! It was very rich without it being "too much". Their coffees and matchas always hit the spot as well. With it being a busy time to visit, it was hard to find a table for my group of 4. However we were able to make it work on their second level after swapping some chairs around with the other parties near by. All the staff we've interacted with thus far are also super sweet. Overall, I'd definitely suggest here as a catch up spot in Fremont!
This place is so cute! There was definitely a line on Saturday, but because of how spacious it is, there's enough space! SMOKED SALMON TOAST - this looked good, and tasted good. It was quite bigger than I thought too!! Cappucino & latte had beautiful art on it and it was satisfying. Love the mugs they used. They had parking in the back as well as paid lots nearby.
Renegade by Devout Coffee is a food truck which supplies the food for Devout Coffee. We had stopped by to get some breakfast and at first, we walked inside Devout Coffee. It was absolutely beautiful inside and it absolutely promotes being present and having conversation rather than being stuck on your phone! Everyone was incredibly nice and although busy, they were able to get our order out quickly. I ordered their gingerbread latte and my husband order the rosemary lemonade. The latte was absolutely delicious and welcomed for the brisk morning we weren't used to. My husband, however, found the lemonade to be too sparkly and bitter. From Renegade, we ordered the breakfast sandwich and seasonal quiche with meats. The order was very quick to come out and came bagged! (I say this as an Arizonian who forgot California charges for bags, lol) We absolutely DEVOURED our breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was absolutely top notch. The quiche was also amazing and the crust was buttery and flaky. I highly recommend stopping by, taking some time inside to decompress with a great coffee, food, and conversation!
This is a neat coffee shop in Fremont. There's actually a second level as well with some seating. I tried the breakfast sandwich and thought it was tasty. It is one of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had in awhile. Maybe a tiny bit salty but still yummy! I also really liked the mocha drink. It was perfectly creamy and not too sweet. I would definitely get this again although it is a little on the pricier side. My one nit is the upstairs seating area does not have a water dispenser. I drink a lot of water when I eat out, and the cups were on the smaller side, so I found myself constantly running up and down the stairs to refill water.
I finally tried this place after many many months of driving by it. Honestly, my first experience wasn't great. I got a latte to go and my latte was already lukewarm when they handed it to me. I thought it was expensive for a mediocre experience. I was wrong. I went again. Then again. Then again. I now frequently go here and bring friends that are visiting here. I love the coffee, the ambience, and especially, the Detroit style pizza. Nothing like it in the bay area. I go here for the Old Fashioned lattes and pizza and sometimes the burrata salad. All amazing. The coffee is delicious, creamy, slightly sweet with notes reminiscent to an old fashioned. The pizza is crunchy on the sides and soft and chewy in the middle with the crispy pepperoni on top. Overall its been a great experience every time. The baristas are quick, and makes amazing lattes. The cafe is nicely decorated and cozy. And the food is delicious. This place does get busy though and the parking su
